Frequently Asked Questions

Jetpatcher Corporation Ltd. is an established company that has been manufacturing and developing Jetpatcher units, using the Jetpatching process for over 30 years. Initially formed in New Zealand in 1985, and with ongoing development since then, the company was purchased by the UK Distributor in 2016 and manufacture moved to their bespoke premises in England. Since that date machines have been supplied worldwide to customers in South America, USA, Canada, Africa, Europe, Asia and Australasia.

Jetpatcher machines use high velocity air to prepare the area of the defect and to deliver emulsion and aggregate to seal, fill and compact the repair. This results in a quality repair that takes very little time, avoids further damage to the road base and is more economical than conventional repairs.
Jetpatcher is the only machinery that utilises a specialised distributor system which allows it to provide high production rates with little wear, as there are no moving parts. This eliminates costly maintenance time for the for the operators.

The longevity of Jetpatcher patching depends on a variety of factors, such as the severity and frequency of traffic loads, climate conditions, and mainte nance practices. Generally, when applied correctly, Jetpatcher patching can last several years and provide durable and high-quality pavement repairs.

The damaged asphalt is heated so that it becomes soft, then the area is reworked. Rejuvenating emulsion is sprayed on and new asphalt is applied to fill in any voids. The entire area is them compacted with a vibratory compactor to form a seamless patch that is thermally bonded to the surrounding pavement.

Yes. Thermal patching uses the existing asphalt which leaves little or no wasted material. In fact, Thermal patching repairs leaves more than 90% less carbon footprint in our environment as compared to the conventional removal and replace method.
